Day 10: Sleepyhead

So not much to report for today. Malena is still sleepy. The nurses say she is not interested in bottle feeding because she is so tired. So they put a feeding tube down her nose into her stomach again. A doctor in the graduate NICU called me today to tell me just how amazed Malena is doing and that she will becoming home soon. Well no one tells me what soon is….
My mom sent me two pictures today in an email. One of Zoey at 2 weeks old and one of Malena. I think they look like sisters. Let me know what you think. Malena on top and Zoey below.

They totally look like a sisters, good thing cause they are, so fun! I dont think my kids look aything alike so that fun, i always tell people they have different dads, ha ha j/k…

i agree they do look alike. it’s good she is sleeping. sounds like her body is healing and her brain is growing. kind of stinks they keep telling you she gets to go home soon but not an actual date. so happy she is doing so well.

Sleeping is fine! We always tell our girls that “they have to sleep so they can grow.” Your girls look VERY much like sisters. Isn’t it fun? LOVED the hairbow BTW. Malena looks really good too. Love ya!

They TOTALLY look like twinsies!! Their hair pattern is very similar. Very cute!

Hi Guys …
We didn’t want to bother you … looks like you’re a little busy these days. But we wanted to let you know we have been watching Malena’s progress (thanks for including us) and praying for her and your entire family daily. We are sooooo thankful that things are going well for you … you are wonderful parents and a beautiful family.

They do! I am amazed with Malena’s progress too! Trust me – we are never completely ready for them to come home – it falls into place.
